Mission

· to promote the developing activity of creative capacity, the development of youth scientific, technical, artistic, cultural and intellectual creation;

· to develop educational programmes for children, youngsters and persons with special needs;

· to encourage the managerial abilities and organizational aptitudes among youngsters at local, national and international level;

· to protect disfavored children, especially the abandoned ones and those coming from numerous, single parent, poor or disorganized families;

· to support activities of protecting the environment through development of projects related to environmental protection together with other associations or authorities.

· to promote gender equalty;

· the association contribuate to the development of Romanian society through promoting youngsters, the values of democracy and the human wrights;

Between 7.08.2006 and 16.08.2006, the Youth and Regional Development Association, represented by a group of seven youngsters – Emil Greabăn, Magda Golenţeanu, Laura Stoica, Sorin Dincea, Ştefan Pleşca, Teodora Mihai, Irina Cărămizoiu – participated as partner in the project I’m young Shakespeare. Between 01-06.06.2005 we have participated as partners in the Intercultural Training Course “Path to Equality Land”, Tbilisi, Georgia.

The training was organized by Nowy Staw Foundation, Lublin, Poland and was coordinated locally by the International Union “ERTOBA”, Tbilisi, Georgia. The project was financed by the National Agency, Poland and took place at “Dzveli Ubani” hotel, Tbilisi.

The theme of the meeting was education concerning the human rights.

PREVENTING DRUG ABUSE AMONG ADOLESCENT AND CHILDREN, 12-17 JUNE 2006

In June 2006, Youth and Regional Development Association took part in an important event in Ankara which involved enthusiastic youngsters from five European countries: Turkey, Romania, Portugal, Estonia, Lithuania, namely the project “Preventing drug abuse among adolescent and children”.


The event has been organized by a group of youngsters from Ankara, “WAR ON DRUG ABUSE TEAM” and has been financed by the European Commission through the Youth Programme.
